![]() Our records, the Branches of ***** ********* created a care plan for this Our sincere condolences to the family represented by this complaint on the Retaining both our community fee and security deposit, after assuring us it would be refunded, is clearly an unethical business practice.Īugust 7, 2020******* ********* * **** ************** ** *****We offer ****, the director of nursing advised for us to move her out right away for our mothers safety which we complied with. They were charging us for a full month of services after my mother had moved out. The finance office indicated they would be retaining both the community fee and security deposit, as we failed to give them at least (30) days notice that we would be moving my mother out the The Branches. After my mothers passing, I called the Branches and requested to have our community fee of $5,000.00 and $5450.00 security deposit returned to us as promised. **** was 100% correct with that assumption. **** Mentioned to us that after someone has a severe fall, it will generally end someones life. Our Mother was no longer eating or communicating after her terrible fall at the Branches and died on Decemas a direct result of her injuries. She was admitted to ******* healthcare on October 2, 2019. We found a Nursing home immediately for our mother, and moved her out as requested by ****, the director of nursing. Clearly that was not the case here as she had over (20) documented falls during her very stay at the Branches. Before we admitted our mother at the Branches, we are assured she would be safe. The nursing Staff at the Branches had no idea what happened to her. ***** suffered from a large Hematoma over her left eye and severe bruising on her entire face. She was afraid that our mother was no longer safe at the Branches, and required better monitoring. On or about Augwe received a telephone call from ****, the director of nursing, indicating that our mother had a terrible fall and should be moved to a nursing home right away. Shortly after ***** moved into the Branches, falls starting happening frequently. Both the community fee and security deposit were paid to the Branches prior to ***** ******** admission on July 2, 2019. We were assured that if for any reason by both ****** and ***** *****, that both the community fee, and the security deposit would be fully refunded if things did not work out for ***** at the Branches. (1) was theĬommunity fee of $5,000.00 along with a security deposit of $5,450.00. There were two additional financial costs which were not covered by *****'s long term care insurance, that had to be paid up front before *****'s admission. ***** ******** care would be paid be her long term care insurance policy (CNA), on a monthly direct bill. After ****s assessment, we met with ****** who handles marketing for the branches to go over pricing and all of the financial details. We were assured that they had a very good staff ratio at the Branches, and our mother would be safe. At the time of the assessment, We indicated to **** that ***** was a Major fall risk, and would require constant attention & monitoring. Before her admission to The Branches, ****, the director of nursing came out to *****'s home to do a medical assessment. My Mother suffered from Alzheimer'sĭisease and was a major fall risk, living at home was no longer safe for her, so we found her a place where she would be well cared for.
